Usage Type
A sourced list must be worked within 6 months of purchase. Should more than 28 days lapse since the purchase of the list and the time that a mailing or telemarketing campaign takes place, it is the list purchasers responsibility to have the list cleansed against the TPS/MPS files.

Single usage - refers to the standard terms of a license and details the one off usage of the list that has been purchased. With most list suppliers the term once means that you may only contact a cold prospect once. With prospectlist you may contact a cold prospect once my mail and once by telephone.

Multiple usage - refers to the multiple use of a list, which allows up to 12 contacts in a year. An additional fee is usually applicable to the license which will enable a list purchaser to contact cold prospects on numerous occasions.

Telephone Numbers Only
This selection will provide you with a database of only those records for which there is a telephone number available. This would be for a complete telemarketing campaign whereby only a telephone list is required. All telephone numbers are cleaned against the TPS.

Named Contacts Only
This selection will provide you with a database of only those records for which there is a named senior contact.

Deduplication
To exclude your existing customer database or previous order from your new list please ensure that your files have been saved to your hard-drive. Files should be in either:

  • Excel (XSL)
  • Comma Seperated Variables (CSV)
  • Text (TXT)


  • The fields that you may dedupe againsts are:

  • Company Name
  • Telephone Number
  • Postcode


  • At least one of the fields that you wish to dedupe against needs to be Column A (or 1). If you wish to dedupe against more than one field then tese need to be in consecutive columns i.e. Column A, B and C.

    In order to dedupe against an existing customer file or a previous order, select the 'DEDUPLICATION' hyperlink within the COST page. This will take you to the dedupe page.

    Limit Records
    You can obtain a specific number of records by entering the relevant figures in the two boxes. For example, if you just wanted 5,000 random records you would enter 1 to 5000. Next time, you could order the next 5,000 records by entering 5001 to 10000.

    Selection Fields

    Base Data
    This details the base data output fields which are the standard output fields that will be supplied for every record that is purchased. This includes Contact Name, Company Name & Address.

    Base Data Total
    The total cost for the basic data purchased.

    Key Data

    Key data details additional fields that can be appended to your prospect database and can aid you in assessing how you communicate them and with what product.

    Telephone No
    Where available telephone numbers will be appended to the mailing list purchased. All telephone numbers are cleaned against the TPS.

    E-mail
    Where available E-Mail addresses will be appended to the mailing/telemarketing list. All e-mail addresses are opted-in.

    SIC Industry Code Description
    The Standard Industry Classification Code and Description.

    Thomson Code Description
    Where available, we can append the Industry classification description used by Thomson directories, which in most cases is more detailed that the standard SIC classification.

    Yellow Pages Code Description
    Where available, we can append the Industry classification description used by Yellow Pages, which in most cases is more detailed that the standard SIC classification.

    Company Type
    Details whether a company is a limited company, PLC or non-limited business.

    Location Type
    Head office, Branch or Single Site. This can aid in determining who to target, with which product and message.

    Turnover Band
    Banding for turnover of company or calculated figure for a non-limited business.

    Employee Band - Total
    Banding for number of employees. Calculated figure available where actual data is not available.

    Employee Band - At Location
    Banding for number of employees at particular location. Calculated figure available where actual data is not available.

    New Oppotunities
    Companies that have had a 'new opportunity' within the last 12 months. This could be a new business or a relocated one. This data has been qualified by a telephone call. This class of business may be more receptive to a direct marketing or telemarketing campaign.

    Growth Companies
    Companies who's credit rating has increased and who's risk has decreased over the last 12 months.

    Propensity
    Our propensity lists contain the top ranking businesses in terms of their propensity to buy the products and services on offer.
    These premium lists are an easy way to benefit from professional propensity models for great for targeting businesses with a proven track record of spending money on the product or service you wish to market.

    Mosaic
    Mosaic is a multi-dimensional classification system specifically designed for B2B marketing. Powered by cutting edge technology that enables easy access to unique data sources.

    Credit Risk Score Band
    Depicts the credit score of a company within a banding. This field is ideal for targeting the right prospect for the right product with little waste on those prospects that are not creditworthy. N.B Do not use this field as the only credit checking exercise for vetting customers. It is only advisable to use this field for prospecting.

    CCJ Band No
    Depicts the number of CCJ's a company has within a banding.

    CCJ Value Band No
    Depicts the value of CCJ's a company has within a banding.

    Function Contact

    Function Contact and Title
    This field is only available when selected during the count process and not thereafter. Once selected within a count it is defaulted to be outputted as an appended field at a cost.
